For Vicolocorto interculturality is not to be found only abroad but also in the local community!

Vicolocorto organizes cultural activities and educational workshops addressed to local young people and cooperates with other local institutions and associations.

The activities we organize in cooperation with public institutions, schools and associations are:  

• Hosting European Volunteers
  

  We manage and coordinate volunteers in order to support local activities;

• Intercultural Activities 
  

  Meetings and activities focusing on culture between European volunteers and local young people both at school and in informal contexts;

• Training on international mobility and youth projects 
  

  Training opportunities for youth workers and associations at an international level in the Marche Region and abroad;

• English Conversation Workshops
  

  Non formal activities aimed at improving the practice of foreign languages;

• Promotion of Youth Opportunities at School and University
  

  Vocational guidance around the opportunities of youth mobility and intercultural training from Primary School to University;

• Non Formal Educational Activities
  

  Thematic educational workshops addressed to young people (human rights, conflict resolution, cultural differences, etc.);

• Vocational Guidance 
  

  Advice and guidance on international mobility opportunities with helpdesks at Informagiovani, Job Centers and during events with dedicated stands.

Vicolocorto works in close cooperation with local institutions and associations, supporting the local initiatives, implementing projects also with: the “InformaGiovani” of Pesaro, the Biblioteca S. Giovanni of Pesaro, the Job Centers of Pesaro, Fano and Urbino, the associations Zoè Microfestival and Officina Creativa Montefeltro, the Red Cross of Pesaro and the Youth Center Totem – La Stanza d’Uscita, to name but a few.

I WOULD LIKE TO OPEN MYSELF UP TO NEW CULTURES, BUT I’M NOT REALLY SURE I CAN LEAVE NOW .... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Vicolocorto organizes cultural and intercultural workshops, which are an occasion to reflect and to get to know youngsters with different nationalities, without travelling but staying comfortably in your own town!

SO, WHAT CAN I DO IN THE SHORT TERM?

There are projects that we implement on a regular basis, usually weekly:

• TALK TOGETHER: cycle of conversations in English.

WHAT IF I WANT TO DO MORE?

If you have time and desire to help us out and find out what it means to be part of the team of an association like ours, you can become one of our local volunteers and collaborate in one or more of our local initiatives for free, both for us and for you. In particular:

• TALK TOGETHER: support to the cycle of conversations in English;
• BLOG: support and writing of articles about local and European mobility activities;
• VIDEO MAKING: support in the sessions dedicated to the creation of promotional videos about associations and youth mobility;
• ITALIAN LESSONS FOR FOREIGNERS: support to the Italian teacher during the Italian courses for our ESC volunteers.

You can participate in the activities both in Pesaro, Senigallia, Marotta and Ancona.
